Terms of Use

Last updated: August 23, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UDojo mobile application and the website udojoapp.com (together, the "Service"), operated by the UDojo team ("UDojo", "we", "us"). By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What UDojo Is — and What It Is Not

UDojo is a neutral communication and organization software tool, intended primarily for academic and learning-related coordination. It lets people who teach a class ("Teachers") and people who attend one ("Students") share messages, a schedule, a meeting point and attendance records in one place.

UDojo is only the tool. UDojo does not create, organize, host, operate, teach, supervise, sponsor, endorse, recommend or verify any class, activity, event, venue, Teacher or Student. UDojo is not a party to any arrangement, agreement or relationship between users. Any class listed or managed through the Service exists solely between the people involved in it.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. If you are a minor, you may use the Service only with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Teachers who admit minors into a class are solely responsible for obtaining any parental consent and complying with all laws applicable to activities involving minors.

3. Sole Responsibility of Users

Teachers are solely and exclusively responsible for every aspect of the classes they create and conduct, including without limitation: the lawfulness, quality, safety and content of the class; their own qualifications, certifications, licenses, permits and insurance; the choice, condition and safety of any venue or meeting point; equipment; first-aid arrangements; the supervision of participants (including minors); compliance with health, safety, tax, labor, consumer and all other applicable laws; and any fees they may charge participants outside the Service.

Students (and, where applicable, their parents or guardians) are solely responsible for deciding which classes to join and attend, for independently evaluating the Teacher, the activity, the venue and the risks involved, and for their own conduct, health, fitness, safety and belongings before, during and after any class.

UDojo has no obligation to — and does not — screen, vet, background-check, certify or monitor users, classes, venues or communications, and assumes no duty of care toward any user or third party in connection with any class or interaction between users.

4. Assumption of Risk

Classes coordinated through the Service take place in the physical world and may involve inherent risks, including — depending on the activity — physical exertion (e.g. yoga, sports, dance, martial arts), use of tools or materials, travel to and from venues, and interaction with people you do not know. You voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks arising from organizing, traveling to, participating in or attending any class or meeting arranged through the Service, including risks of personal injury, illness, death, property damage or loss, and disputes with other users.

5. Release and Waiver of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you release, waive and discharge UDojo, its owners, developers, affiliates and collaborators from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including legal fees) of any kind arising out of or in connection with: (a) any class, activity, event or meeting organized, promoted, attended or facilitated through the Service; (b) the acts or omissions of any Teacher, Student or other user or third party; (c) the condition of any venue or meeting point; (d) any dispute between users, including regarding payments made outside the Service; and (e) the accuracy of any schedule, location, attendance record or other user-provided information. If you are a parent or guardian agreeing on behalf of a minor, this release applies equally to claims of the minor to the extent permitted by law.

6. User Content and Conduct

Users are solely responsible for the content they share through the Service (messages, class details, names, files and photos where available). You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, harassing, discriminatory, fraudulent or infringing purpose, and not to share content you have no right to share. You retain your rights over your content and grant UDojo a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store and transmit it solely to operate the Service. We may remove content or restrict access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or the law, but we have no obligation to monitor content.

7. Attendance Records

Attendance features (QR scanning, calendars, statistics) are provided for informational and organizational convenience only. UDojo does not guarantee their accuracy, completeness or fitness for any official, academic, employment or legal purpose, and is not responsible for decisions made based on them.

8. Purchases

Using UDojo is free for Students. Teachers create a class through a one-time in-app purchase (USD 1.99, or the equivalent price shown for your region). This is a single, non-recurring payment per class created; there are no subscriptions. The number of class repetitions is defined at creation and cannot be changed afterwards — extending or repeating a course requires creating a new class. Payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account; refunds are governed by Apple's policies and applicable law. Deleting a class does not entitle you to a refund. UDojo does not process, receive or intermediate any payment between Teachers and Students; any such arrangements are outside the Service and at users' own risk.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information the Service handles and how. By using the Service you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

10. Not an Emergency Service

The Service is not designed for emergencies and must not be relied upon for urgent, safety-critical or time-critical communications. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that messages, schedules or attendance data will always be delivered, synced or preserved.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UDojo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunities, arising from or related to the Service or any class or interaction between users. To the same extent, UDojo's total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to UDojo through the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 1.99. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those cases, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UDojo, its owners, developers and collaborators from any claim, demand, damage or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by any third party arising out of your use of the Service, the classes you organize or attend, your content, your conduct, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your data from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe these Terms or applicable law have been violated, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice where required. Sections 3–7 and 10–13 survive termination.

15. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be indicated through the Service or this website; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute shall be submitted to the ordinary courts of the City of Buenos Aires, unless mandatory consumer law in your place of residence provides otherwise. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the invalid provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible.
